Hello everyone,
Since I last posted, a lot has happened, including the opening of my shop, BlondiePhotography, on Etsy! I haven't sold anything yet, but I've got photos of mine for sale, which have been edited by myself in a style inspired by Andy Warhol. This all came about after the popularity of my final piece in photography at school, which is also for sale in my shop. All of my photos are being sold as digital files so the buyer can choose how to display it themselves. Please take a look, and if anything takes your fancy, consider buying it!

Vintage Find
Today I was out shopping and came across a gorgeous vintage style tea dress in Peacocks! I was surprised to find such a lovely piece of clothing in the shop, as it isn't renowned for selling vintagey clothes. Anyway, here's a few photos of my £16 dress:

New York City + Washington DC
So, a couple of weeks ago I went on what was possibly the best school trip ever: 4 days in New York and one day in Washington DC! We stayed in the Skyline Hotel on 49th Street, so not far from Times Square. It was really amazing spending a few days away with friends in one of the most famous cities, as well as getting to know some of the teachers better. Here are a selection of my favourite photos from the trip:

Another Craft Project, but Bigger
So, over the weekend I've been working on a crafty project which I've been meaning to do for a while: a decoupage stag head. A few months ago I bought a papier mache stag head which cost just a few pounds, then I found some pretty fabric squares, and I had an idea. It was only until yesterday that I started on it, and this is how it looked in the beginning:
First, I cut up the squares of fabric into four smaller squares so they're more likely to fit over the odd shape of the stag head. Using the glue designed for decoupages, I stuck on the fabric squares:
Covering the head was very easy, but the ears and antlers? Not so much. Anyway I managed, and finished my stag head earlier today:
I am very pleased with how it turned out! It's so pretty and unique, but now I have to find a place to hang it!
Thursday, 23 January 2014
Sorry I haven't posted for a week, I've been struggling to think of something to write about! Now I've found something, so here's my 4th blog post. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I enjoy crafty things. My most recent make is this faux leather tattoo style heart which I made using a kit courtesy of Mollie Makes magazine. It's only a tiny little thing but I thought it was rather sweet! I love how the style of it allows it to end up looking a bit scruffy, so it doesn't matter if the stitching is a bit naff, as demonstrated by myself. I will probably post about my future mini craft projects, so if you like this post keep checking for more!

The results of my first film!
So, a few days ago I finished my first film in my Civica and today I had it developed! Most of the photos didn't turn out very well but some of them look pretty good, such as the one on top of the pile. Hopefully in the future I'll learn how to get the best out of 35mm cameras, but seeing as it's my first go I'm pretty happy. Not a very long post today, but I just thought I would update you all!
